Miley Cyrus Does Dolly Parton Hair On The Grammys Red Carpet

From greased mullets to peroxide pixies, Miley Cyrus is no stranger to a subversive hair moment. But at this evening’s Grammys 2024 red carpet, the pop star went for a sweeter homage, teasing her hair to heights only achieved by her godmother Dolly Parton.

To further elevate (literally and figuratively) her barely-there gilded Margiela look —a chainmail of interlocking safety pins, complete with camel Tabi stilettos — hairstylist Bob Recine brushed Cyrus’s locks up and back into a bold Barbarella bouffant. The Flowers singer, who won her first ever Grammy for Flowers, played up her gold goddess look with swipes of bronzer and a single curl that further accentuated her cat eye and fluffy brows.

This isn’t the first time that Cyrus has stepped out in a beauty look inspired by her godmother — her bleach blonde shags and wolfish cuts have certainly echoed Parton’s iconic aesthetic. Perhaps it’s the Priscilla of it all, or the styled-up-to-there looks that hairstylist Duffy sent down the runway at Marc Jacobs this past week — either way, we’re swept away by this more-is-more moment.
