Having recently made a splash with her trend-defining curve cut and fresh curtain bangs, Sydney Sweeney is once again having a beauty moment. This time she’s in Cannes channelling a host of big-screen bombshells, from Pamela Anderson to Brigitte Bardot, with her retro-inspired updo.
Created by hair stylist Glen Oropeza, the artfully messy updo, piled high onto her head while the fringe and longer layers were kept loose to frame the face, recalls the high-octane glamour of the ’60s but with that easy, undone ’90s twist. It’s a style we’re seeing a lot of at the moment, thanks to stars like Rihanna, Lily James and Kim Kardashian – and an easy one to replicate for the summer.
To finish off the look, Sweeney (who is also repping the peekaboo bra trend in the French Riviera), opted for an icy-blue lid to match her embellished Miu Miu frock in the same colour.
