Paris is burning, and I’m not talking about the weather. From Pharrell’s star-studded takeover of the historic Pont Neuf as he staged his epic debut for Louis Vuitton, to Jacquemus’s storming of Versailles, the city of lights has been well and truly lit in recent days.
It’s been big for beauty too. We’ve had Emily Ratajkowski’s fiery red lip, Rihanna’s smoky pout and Tina Kunakey’s diamond-encrusted teeth. If that wasn’t enough, Gigi Hadid stepped out on Monday evening sporting a modern take on a very ’90s beauty look.
Flanked by best friend Kendall Jenner, the supermodel and mother of one made the case for make-up as a monochromatic study in brown. Inspired by ’90s soft glam, make-up artist Patrick Ta opted for muted taupes on the eyes with a hint of gloss, beige-infused blush and a brownish-nude on the lips. To finish the look, Gigi wore her hair slicked back into a chic chignon.
Leaning into the ’90s monochromatic trend further, she also sported brown cut-out co-ords, which she accessorised with a pearl necklace and layered gold chains.
